It seems that the new JOM + G3 merge is followed by some serious consequences. One of which being EVERYTHING IS RESET TO ZERO. Yes, everything you have read before the merge, never took place. Every story arc, every title, every single pages, never happened. This is inclusive of those that are not yet printed, a.k.a comics that are kept in stock for what was supposed to be a future release.

In other words, Retrojak (stocks submitted), Artopia (which was 2 episodes away from conclusion), and Destiny (A LOT was kept in stock) are gone.

Other implications circulate payments and cancellation issues. I have nothing to say. Thank you for your support. It was great while it lasted.

1) A recent CORPORATE RESHUFFLE in the comics department in Karangkraf, and
2) My final semester

Retrojak 2 will be held in stock and will only be seen in print next year. If, by that time my stock has piled up, we might as well make it a graphic novel.

I am currently in Singapore undergoing my industrial training / internship programme before I complete my final semester and hopefully obtain a degree by then. I just wish I have stopped studying so I can just draw comics and do art without the confinement of certain institutional doctrines.

Anyway it was only a week ago I have submitted the 2nd episode of Retrojak 2 but we can only read Retrojak 2 after the submission of its 4th episode - which is I don't know when since my studies are getting in the way most of the time. I hope during this period of 2 months (aside all the mess I have to organize before my final semester) I could get it all done for my own sanity.

For those who still remember the comic I bring you a 4 page preview Retrojak2 #2:

JOM! has been coming out steadily for twice a month now.

However I am frustrated over the fact that the rotation is giving Retrojak a run for it's stock.. Heh. The effect: Retrojak has been absent in the pages of JOM! for quite a number of issues now.

Make no mistake had I not been studying I could have whipped out a constant 2 episodes a month but alas...

Faithful readers, the first part of Retrojak 2 (R2) has been submitted for stock keeping. And just so that you won't forget the series, I have here, a screenshot of one of the gems in R2:

Wow it's been a crazy ride. Sorry for the slow update guys. Jobs were piling in as soon as I finished my last paper! Oh I went to Singapore last week to pay a visit to Imaginary Friends Studios. I am now officially part of them!!!

On another note that I have had my eyes on S.I.C figurines, flipped through its photography book and had my mind blown away. It sort of had influenced me so much I had an idea of giving Deep Purple and Sheriff a new costume design for the future episodes. I kind of like the idea of a wardrobe change.

Well let me clarify now.
If making a parody is being called copycat, that I am a copycat.
All materials in Retrojak contain element of homage & tribute to many references in pop culture.

I am a HUGE fan of Ring merchandise. As well as Gaban and other various sentai & tokusatsu there is. Making a spoof here and there is obviously harmless. I would like to extend my most sincere apology if my simple gesture of fandom in storytelling gave anybody the wrong idea.

But get used to it. There will be more and these things are nothing new. The whole idea of Retrojak is everything mashed into one package. Don't take it seriously.

Please, just enjoy it.

My bookmaking (elective) class requires, as the class name is, making a book.

Since the content is free I decided to make a basic guide in creating a simple comic. And the characters I'm using are from my very own current title, Retrojak.

Progress preview is on next week~
I made an illustration for I don't know maybe the back cover of the book, since the cover will be something else I think.
I leave the empty space for text/summary/etc.

Not sure if I should slap in the Retrojak title for the back cover. It can be confusing!

Online for a short while. The hermit has to work to make ends meet.

Apparently, my routine submission on every 15th had to be pushed to the 12th. This is due to JOM!'s bi-monthly rotation re-switch and it caught my by surprise. So now, at least 2 pages per day!

THIS IS NUTS!!! I'm going to die!!!

Today I'm supposed to pencil and ink page 3 & 4 today but I got mentally exhausted so I colored the first page instead. The title design/placement is not final. Just to remind you I'm still alive. Anyway, I purposely made the color in such a way because it's a flashback scene.
